      I don’t understand #7. For that price it seems like a 1/4 share, but nowhere in the description did I see a mention of such. And the maintence fees are shown as $374 that would seem like the maintence fee for a full share. What exactly would a person be buying for $59,900 on #7?

        They don’t mention the 1/4 share but that is what it is a least as far as I am able to tell. Not sure if the maintenance fees are for the share or the entire amount

        I think it’s one of those hotel room sales where you only get to use it a few weeks a year (and still have to pay), but you get a cut of the rental the rest of the time.

        It’s a quarter time share. I’ve stayed there and the units are actually very nice. There is a gym and pool, I’m guessing that explains the high fees. These were listed during the olympics for much more, I believe starting at $125k.

        Thx for the info JR,
        But that’s still a crazy high maintenance fee for a quarter share.
        $1200 for the unit a month, for an admittedly nice pool and gym, still seems crazy to me. Lot’s of snow removal I assume 😉

        It’s hard to say if the fees are full or quarter. I know some of the places like this deduct strata fees from rental income, it might be their fees include renting fees and it’s upfront, plus wear and tear is higher and fees might cover repair. But yeah doesn’t seem like a great investment.

        I was curious about the Hilton and now I know the answer. We have stayed there several times the last couple years and I kept seeing the same person in the elevator. They clearly lived there.

    Just stayed at the Montebelleo (#9) this weekend. Rented from an owner at $375 a night. Nice place but poor sound proofing. At $800 a month in fees for 7 nights usage I am surprised they are even going for what they are. Pay $170K to get to “rent” your own place for $115 a night?

      #9 listing says $650 fees, but is that for a quarter share or the whole deal?

      Jebus, if only a quarter that’s $2600 a month!!!

      Time to buy me a snowplow cause that’s the only thing that makes sense for those fees.
