    #10: Empty, old and ugly

    #9: Now below assessment and 2006 offering price; MLS number not found.

    #8: Raise the price, lower the price, no one is going to care until it’s below assessment.

    #7: Empty, old and ugly; plus, bad photos to boot.

    #6: Old building; nice renovations; will not repay the investment!

    #5: This isn’t going to sell until they dump the price.

    #4: Ping ponging on the price, but they are still WAY over assessment.

    #3: Old and ugly #3 this week; plus, horrible photos and way over the declining assessment.

    #2: Empty (staged); They have been trying to sell this unit continuously for over 4 years; now $185,000 below assessment; I’ll bet they are sorry they ever bought this.

    #1: Ping pong pricing, but now slightly under assessment; these units at SFU Univercity are proving to be a bad investment all around.

      Those SFU apartments were a bad investment all right. But buyers didn’t need to wait for prices to drop to find that out – they should have known from the beginning. Two words: leased land.

        Thanks, the #1 listing on the suburbs page has been on the list for few times now and the interesting part is that they increased the price from 2011 of 1.2m to 2.1m and now getting back to 1.4m, if they would list it again for 1.1m, it might sell soon but they don’t seem to be interested as they have a long term tenant paying $5850 pm.

        Funny thing is that when you look at the price/rent ratio it isn’t bad – unlike most properties at this time this actually isn’t a horrible investment based on returns

        Re that #1 from the twilight zone post… Rented for $5850/mo to a longterm tenant…
        Only a longterm tenant because the stupid house STILL hasn’t sold. It’s common to install a relative to act like as tenant, delighted to stay forever paying double the market rent, right up until the sale is closed. Not even illegal, just deceptive.

    If you goto Street View in Google Map and look at the front of the building on July 2012 date it has the sale sign. “10 Boutique Style Homes Starting at 269,000. Paula 604-613…”

    $449,000? You pay that price, you’re a fool.
